Home Made Pasta Sauce – Low Carb & Keto Friendly

Home made pasta sauce is so much healthier then store bought sauces, this recipe is a must try if you love pasta sauce! Low carb and keto friendly!

Home Made Pasta Sauce

Low carb pasta sauce is so much BETTER when it’s home made! It can be hard to find a good low carb sauce because most pasta sauces in the stores are full of sugar. The solution is to make your own healthy sauce! I love making home made recipes from scratch because then you know exactly what is in the food you are eating. Knowing what is in your food is especially important if you have food allergies, sensitivities or if you are on a special diet or meal plan. This recipe makes a great diabetic pasta sauce as well since it contains no added sugar. Overall staying away from processed food is a healthy idea for everyone, especially our kids!

This is a great low carb recipe that is keto friendly. So you’re asking what do you do with the low carb pasta sauce? Yes, putting it over pasta would definitely make a very high carb meal. You can make zucchini noodles or ‘zoodles’ in place of pasta to make spaghetti. They are really easy to make if you have a spiralizor. They are about $20 to buy (you don’t need an expensive one) and worth the investment in my opinion. You can use it to cut up all kinds of veggies not just zucchini. Another great recipe that uses home made pasta sauce is Low Carb Garlic Brussel Sprouts with Sausage. It’s delicious!

If you are looking for a lifestyle change that will make you feel better and help you get rid of extra body fat, low carb or a ketogenic lifestyle is definitely a great choice! It has helped me feel so much better!

Anything made with tomatoes should be cooked for at least a half hour in a canner. An hour seems a bit much. I’d go as long as 45 minutes to be safe. I’ve been a home canner for 33+ years

This was really good. I used my nutra bullet to puree the tomatoes and saved two to dice. It was not runny at all. This was the first time that I ever made a paste sauce from scratch. It will be the only way from now on. Thanks for the recipe my family loved it.

This would freeze well and if you can it, I would definately pressure can it. Follow directions for tomatoes. this will kill all the mold forming bacteria that can form.

You can use big mushrooms. Take the stem out. Fill with sauce. Top with pepperoni or Canadian bacon. Sprinkle with cheese. Crustless pizzas.
