If you are following a Ketogenic diet fat bombs are amazing snacks! Chocolate Peanut Butter Fat Bombs are divine! Low carb goodness!
Since I started following a ketogenic lifestyle, fat bombs have been one of my favorite go-to snacks. My other favorite snack is my No Sugar Keto Fudge which is also amazing! I switch between the two depending on which one I have made or just which one I prefer that day. They are super convenient snacks because both can be kept in the freezer so they last a long time. Most times, I usually make a double batch and that way I have plenty and don’t have to take the time to make them too often.
They are very easy to make and take almost no time to prepare. Once they are made you will have lots of keto friendly snacks and you won’t have to worry about going off your diet plan when you get hungry or you’re craving something sweet! These fat bombs take care of both the chocolate and peanut butter craving you may be experiencing. These are also great for on the go snacks. Perfect for when you suddenly get hungry but aren’t home and don’t want to fall into that fast food dilemma. Simply pop one or two in a baggie before you leave the house and they make a great snack on the road.
Macros for the entire recipe:
Calories: 1280
Fat: 122g

My Keto lifestyle!
Since I switched over to a ketogenic lifestyle I am so happy! I feel fantastic and I have an abundance of energy! I also drink Keto OS which helps me have amazing mental focus and is really life changing for my mood and energy! I feel the best I have in my entire life! I am almost never hungry and small snacks like these ones keep me going all day long.

20 carbs? Isn’t that a lot for a Keto diet?
My Keto Recipes says
That is for the ENTIRE recipe.

Do you know the macros for one bomb. Just made these. But only got six out of the recipe. Was just wondering how many you get in your tray??
My Keto Recipes says
Thats the thing everyone makes them different sizes, so the macros are for the entire recipe and then you just divide by how many you get to get the total for each one.
MikeInAZ says
I use mini muffin tins with the papers. I get 11 or 12 out of 1 recipe. I usually add a touch more coconut oil than it calls for.

These were so good, that I ate three in one day! I felt so guilty because they tasted like real sugar! I used Swerve, they tasted gritty, and I few ther 1/4C was way too much. I’ll try again and probably use one teaspoon of Swerve. I’ll put the Swerve in a food processor this time..thank you, they are a Godsend â¤ï¸
My Keto Recipes says
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Danielle says
In the peanut butter recipe if you are using swerve do you use 1/4 cup or 1/4tbs?
My Keto Recipes says
1/4 tsp of liquid stevia or 1/4 cup of swerve
Laura says
I don’t have swerve. How many packets of equal naturals could I use instead?
Darcy says
1 tsp of confectioners swerve has 3 carbs, so 1/4 cup in each layer is 72 carbs. Did I calculate that incorrectly since you’re saying the entire recipe has only 20 carbs?
My Keto Recipes says
Yes, swerve is made of erythritol so while it does contain carbs in the form of alcohol sugar, you body can’t digest it. The effective net carbs from swerve is 0 as your body can’t break down and digest it.
Kacey says
I think I used the wrong coconut oil. Can you tell me what kind?
Anonymous says
The recipe makes 12 for me, so if you subtract the fibre of 11.2 g in the total recipe from the 20 g of carbs each 1 is <1 g net carb
Joe says
Can you explain difference between tbs tbsp both meaning tablespoon?
My Keto Recipes says
same
Stephanie says
Actually tsp = teaspoon. And tbsp= tablespoon
My Keto Recipes says
Obviously I know tsp = teaspoon and tbsp = tablespoon.
If you look at their question closely they asked “Can you explain difference between tbs tbsp both meaning tablespoon?”
Tbs and Tbsp both mean tablespoon 🙂
Tee says
This was great! Even with 1-2Tbs swerve with the chocolate is enough.. and didn’t put any on the pb filling. Thank you!
Nikhil Rohatgi says
FOR THE FOLKS WONDERING ABOUT HOW MUCH POWDERED STEVIA TO USE- 1 Tablespoon in each layer is quite enough for me (you can do 1+1.5 or 1.5 in each, at the most). I couldn’t get a straight answer to this from either the recipe (which is otherwise excellent) or the 1 million comments after it, so I used good ol’ trial and error.
Anonymous says
Thank you, I was getting tired myself of looking for someone that had used powdered stevia instead.
Maritza says
These are absolutely yummy. For me, since I hadn’t had sugar in a month, plus I found 1/4 cup of the swerve a bit much, and I also used a bit more coconut oil, but the recipe is easy to follow and hit the spot, because today I was needing something sweet. Thank you!

What kind of stevia do you recommend using in this recipe? I tried liquid Stevita and it made it taste awful 🙁
My Keto Recipes says
I actually use Swerve in all my recipes that call for stevia. I find it tastes better and it’s easy to use when baking or making fat bombs.
Sandy says
your recipe says 1/4 cup Swerve. Is swerve liquid or granules
My Keto Recipes says
I use the confectioner’s Swerve but you can also use granules.
Andrea says
Did you really mean 1/4 cup or did you mean 1/4 tsp of Swerve? I use Swerve as well love it.
My Keto Recipes says
Swerve is like sugar so it’s a bigger amount. However you can adjust the amount to your liking or you can even use no Swerve at all. They will be more bitter because of the dark chocolate if you dont use any Swerve (or other sweetener). I have tried both ways and enjoy them either way. But I do like with Swerve.
Melissa says
Would you consider making a note in the recipe that indicates that you used confectioners swerve? I just used granular swerve and the fat bombs are grainy. I wish I had known about the confectioners before reading the comments. Thanks so much!
My Keto Recipes says
Great idea! I didn’t think of that so I’ll go put that in 🙂

If I use swerve instead of the stevia. How much swerve do I use? Same amount?
My Keto Recipes says
No Swerve measures like sugar so you will want to use 1/8 – 1/4 of a cup depending on how sweet you like it. You can add some and then taste it to see if it’s enough.
Lisa Trego says
Is that tsp or cup recipe says tsp your post says cup
My Keto Recipes says
The recipes states STEVIA. What I was referring to in this comment was if you are using SWERVE
christine j moore says
1/4 tsp Stevia (I used 1/4 cup Swerve instead of stevia)i thought they were the same
My Keto Recipes says
No they are different.
Sharon says
I replaced coconut oil for same amt mct c8/c10. And used swerve. Used mini cups. It yielded 17 mini making total micros 33g net carbs. At 2 per serving is 4 net carbs! Perfect.
Brenda Hall says
Are you using powder or liquid? Stevia has both. If i use powder do I use the 1/4 tsp. Or the 1/4 cup?
My Keto Recipes says
I used Swerve in mine. The original recipe used liquid stevia.
Remy White says
The author isn’t very straight-forward enough when people are asking about the tsp vs cup. If you use liquid, you need to use a lot less product than the powder/granules. If you were using something like Swerve or Xylitol or Erythirtol, then you’ll need to make that amount 1/4 cup to equal the same amount of sweetness.
You wouldn’t like them if it was 1/4 cup of liquid stevia.. it’d be way too gross to eat xD
Pleased says
The recipe made perfect sense to me and they came out wonderful. What a treat. Peanut butter cups are my favorite. I probably will reduce the Swerve a bit as they were sweet and it’s so expensive. I’m not so sure why so many people are confused. Easy to follow.
Lissette medina says
I used almond butter instead of peanut butter. It tasted great and brought the carbs down
My Keto Recipes says
Great!
Anonymous says
How much carbs did it bring it down to? Did it also change the calories, fat and protein?
Anonymous says
These look amazing. One question…I see you used Swerve in place of stevia for the PB layer, did you use stevia for the chocolate layer as well?
My Keto Recipes says
Yes, I always use Swerve, I prefer the taste. Either is fine though.
Kelly says
How many does this recipe make?
My Keto Recipes says
It depends on how big you make them. I usually have 12 when I make them.
Anonymous says
So 12 is for the nutrition facts you have listed?
Remy White says
Well, if you made the recipe as is, it’d be total 20 carbs. If you made ten “muffin tin” sized candies, it’d be 2 carbs each. If you ended up making 15, it’d be 1.33 carbs per cup. It is really up to you how many you end up with depending on the size you make.
Jessica says
Did you use powdered or granulated swerve?
My Keto Recipes says
Either one is fine. I like the powdered, especially for icing and fat bombs.
Rachel Debates says
Will these be okay if I just put them in a mini muffin tin? I didn’t grab the paper things when I was at the store

I tried making these with granulated erythritol and it didn’t dissolve. They are really grainy. What am I doing wrong?
My Keto Recipes says
I usually use the confectioners Swerve. They turn out perfect every time!
Anonymous says
Marsha, perhaps try stirring the erythritol into the melted coconut oil before adding the other ingredients, that may help it dissolve.
Victoria says
You can put the granular swerve in a food processor to make it more fine. I too only have the granular swerve and didn’t realize the cibfectioners was better for this recipe until later on

JANICE SEIMEARS says
1/4 tsp or 1/4 cup of stevia, which???
My Keto Recipes says
In the recipe it states teaspoon. I said in brackets that I used 1/4 cup Swerve instead of stevia.
Lynda says
Yeah I’m still confused, it shows 1/4 tsp if Stevia or 1/4 cup if using Swerve. That seems like and awful big difference between the two and even after reading your comments I’m still unsure…
My Keto Recipes says
The stevia drops are concentrated. Swerve measures like sugar.
Melissa Ann Dimatteo says

My Keto Recipes says
If you are using fat free powdered peanut butter it defeats the purpose of making a fat bomb.
Angela Farek says
Do you have to add the stevia or swerve? How bad are they unsweetened?
My Keto Recipes says
No you don’t have to, I have made these without either and they taste like dark chocolate.
margo says
Can you use any kind of coconut oil and what kind of chocolate .. Thank you So Very MUCH !
y MUCH
Ivan says
hi
I’m about to make them but what about if I want to use chocolate tablet instead of cocoa powder ? or maybe I can use both ? do you have any Idea what would be the ratio ?
My Keto Recipes says
Sorry I have never used chocolate tablets so I’m not sure. Do you mean like a 90% dark chocolate bar? That I have used. I use about 1oz for each 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder. You want to melt the chocolate before using it.
Jennifer Shapiro Williams says
I bought stevia in the raw for baking. It’s granulated. Would that be the same amount as swerve- 1/4 cup?
Brenda Hall says
Our Walmart doesn’t sell Swerve. I don’t like the taste of Stevia. What is the difference between Splenda and swerve? Does one taste better than the other? If I am on a strict Keto starter diet can I have the fat bombs? Also the keto waffles?
Jeannie says
I just recently started using Swerve it tastes WAY better then Splenda. I now prefer it over Stevia also as many of these products are now adding fillers that can rise blood sugars. I’m getting ready to try a product called Stevia Glycerite and hope it tasts ok. Its expensive but goes a very long way.
Anonymous says
If you do decide to “take them with you, on the road in a baggie” make sure you put between ice packs. If not when at room temp they melt into one big blob. Mine came out looking exactly like the picture above, until I left them on the counter for about 1/2 hour after they were refrigetated…what a mess. Otherwise very good.
Eric says
If I use granulated pyrue is it 1/4 cup?
My Keto Recipes says
I’m not sure, I have never heard of it.
Eric says
It’s actually pyure I miss spelled. It’s erythritol and stevia leaf extract
Christina Merriweather says
Good question Eric because that’s what I use and I was wondering the exact same thing
My Keto Recipes says
yes
Anonymous says
Do you mix this on stove or just in a bowl
My Keto Recipes says
Just in a bowl.
Remy says
Okay, so I am a little confused. It says 1/4 tsp (with 1/4 cup used for Swerve). Does using 1/4 cup of the powdered sugar the same “sweetness” as the 1/4 tsp of (I am assuming) liquid sweetener?
I did 1/4 tsp of my powdered and it was very bitter.. but using 1/4 cup of my powdered just seems like a LOT of it. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated 🙂
My Keto Recipes says
Feel free to adjust based on your personal taste. It won’t effect the purpose of eating a fat bomb by increasing or decreasing the sweetener as long as its all natural.
Cori says
Is this recipe for a regular size cupcake tin or a mini?
My Keto Recipes says
You can use either depending on the size of the fat bomb you want to eat
Julie Anderson says
Can you use Stevia? If so how much? Its not the liquid.

I just tried this recipe yesterday..it was so easy to make!! But, I do have one question..all I can really taste is the peanut butter, so I am wondering if I did something wrong. I used 100% unsweetened cacao..I think it was Hershsey’s brand..any suggestions?
My Keto Recipes says
you can try solid dark chocolate
Carolyn says
Thank you so much for this recipe! I read through the comments for tips. I used a miniature muffin tin. I cut the swerve amount down half to an 1/8 cup in each layer. I also sprinkled some pink Himalayan sea salt on the chocalate part before adding the peanut butter. These are amazing!!!
My Keto Recipes says
Great idea with the pink Himalayan salt!
Melliott says

Jackie Tomlinson says
You can just import the recipe and it calculates for you.
Janice Jeffers says
What kind of peanut butter did you use?
My Keto Recipes says
I use different kinds, usually all natural if I can find it, sometimes i use what ever is in the house as long as it’s low in carbs and sugar.
Kim Thompson says
I use ice trays. Perfect!
Angel says
I want to make these but I don’t have any of the sweeteners mentioned above.. Can I use splenda??

Angel says
I made them and only used a couple packets. They are amazing!

Jessica says
Do you know how much Truvia I could use instead?
My Keto Recipes says
I don’t use Truvia so I am not sure what the amount would be
Jessica says
I made these today. I used 2 teaspoons of Truvia for each half just in case anyone else was wondering. They were sweet but not overly sweet to me. I like that they’re dairy free also 🙂 They were good, I’m still trying to figure out which sweeteners I like. Thanks for the recipe.
My Keto Recipes says
Thanks for commenting, that way others know!
Carol Witzig says
Thanks for the Truvia info. At this time it’s all I have
Michelle Phelps (Play Piano with Michelle) says
I also made them with two packets of Truvia for the pb and chocolate layer each–I think I’ll only use one packet in the chocolate part next time. I used Laura Scudders pb and Ghirardelli cocoa powder. Also going to try almond butter in the chocolate part, and maybe butter too. I love coconut but it might be good if the pb layer and chocolate layer had different flavors going on for some contrast. These are AMAZING. I’ll be making them every week for me and my hubby! Thanks so much for sharing!

I appreciate your patience with everyones’ comments and questions. I am a bit hesitant to ask this but when I calculate the macros, mine is different. Do you calculate net carbs by subtracting the fiber when calculating your macros?

These are dangerously good. I’ve made them twice with the only addition being cinnamon to the peanut butter layer. Use the silicone mold, they came out looking like perfect miniature Reese’s cups, my recipe made 26. I am going to break from them and my other go to sweet treat (the three ingredient peanut butter cookie) because my weight loss has stalled even tho I have been faithful to intermittent fasting daily and ketogenic as well. I read that even an artificial sweetener (such as xylitol that I use) can disrupt or slow down progress. Do you have an opinion on sweeteners? BTW the bombs are the bomb. Have to hold myself to two per day!!!

Thank you for this recipe! I love it. It always makes way more chocolate than PB for me, though. Today I got creative and I mixed up a mint topping for my leftover chocolate layers (think peppermint patty) and it was delicious! I used 3 tbs coconut oil (melted), 1/8 cup xylitol, 1/2 tsp mint extract, and 1/4 tsp vanilla. I did not taste the PB in the chocolate layer when topped by the mint layer, in case you are wondering. It was really good.

We’ve been doing keto for 2 months and need something sweet so this is perfect (minus the coconut taste)
My Keto Recipes says
yes you can substitute butter for it

Oh my gosh, I did 1 tbls butter and 1 tbls coconut oil and it was perfect. I have made these 3 times now and I get 10 out of the recipe. Amazing and so satisfying for 2 carbs per piece. Refined coconut oil has no flavor but the same fat composition so it should work as a substitute if flavor of coconut is a problem.

If you use Swerve, it’s actually 80 grams of carbs. I wish I would have realized this before I made them. Doesn’t really fit the macros
My Keto Recipes says
Swerve is erythritol. Your body can’t digest erythritol so it all gets excreted in your urine. None of those carbs are absorbed by your body. You should research stuff before spouting off. I’m not incompetent you know.

I have made these with liquid stevia and they were awesome! I didn’t have liquid this time so I substituted 3/4 cup powdered sugar substitute off brand to swerve but same ingredients. I could not get the powdered stevia to dissolve. I even microwaved it and used a hand mixer but it was still grainy! What did I do wrong?
My Keto Recipes says
3/4 cup of powdered sugar substitute is probably too much. In the instructions it says 1/4 cup, which is why is most likely why it didn’t dissolve properly 🙂

I decided to make these on a whim without shopping, so I had to make some substitutes…I used a stick and a half of range free butter instead of the oil and regular granule stevia instead of the liquid (~1.5 tsp). SO GOOD, TOTAL KETO DIET LIFE SAVER!

I have made a batch now , its in the freezer can’t wait to try it you guys I found whipped peanut spread, Has anyone tried it, I was just looking at the ingredients and it’s not just peanuts, but it has 0 carbs, actually 0 everything.
Anonymous says
Okay, dumb question. The recipe has peanut butter listed under the chocolate layer also… is it supposed to be mixed with the chocolate as well as the peanut butter layer?
Anonymous says
I have the same question.
Dawna says
Do I microwave the peanut butter. I want to make these tonignt.
Norman says
Hi, can I use Vigin Coconut Oil for this, and if so, is it the same amount as per your suggested amount? Thanks in advance for your reply. 🙂
My Keto Recipes says
I don’t see why it would be a different amount
Chace says
Thank you for the recipe! I absolutely love them!

Delicious! Thanks for the recipe. I used mini muffin pan and got twenty of them. So yummy!

Made these today. So good, it feels like cheating. Used a mini muffin pan, and it made 12 total for 1.6 carbs each. Swapped the coconut oil for butter in the peanut butter half – done with all my sweets tasting like coconut. Also swapped the stevia for sweet n low (saccharin). the anti-synthetic sweetener folks will hate that, but I absolutely can no longer tolerate the stevia after-taste. Used less than a packet of sweet n low and no after taste. Thanks for posting this recipe. Will def make again.
My Keto Recipes says
Glad you liked it 🙂

Is the recipe total carbs or net carbs? Thanks

Can I substitute MCT oil for coconut oil?
Anonymous says
I would say no, only cuz MCT oil is not a sold.

This recipe is SUPER straight forward. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! They were easy to make and all the directions are CLEARLY stated.
My Keto Recipes says
Glad you like it 🙂
Rikta says
Hi! For the peanut butter layer, you wrote “1/4 vanilla”. Do you mean 1/4 vanilla extract, same as you used for the chocolate layer?
My Keto Recipes says
Yes, didn’t notice that I forgot to put extract lol. Thanks for pointing that out 🙂
Lori says
How do you not have the peanut melt. Everytime I put them in fridge after they are frozen, I go bite into one and the peanut butter oozes out.
My Keto Recipes says
Put them in the freezer 🙂
Lisa says
Up the vanilla in the pb layer! So good!
Anita says
We prefer using the swerve confectioners sugar. Yummy!

I used just 1/4 teaspoon not a 1/4 cup

Glad you like them, they’re one of my favorite fat bombs 🙂

Can I use cashew butter instead??
Anonymous says
I used an all natural chunky peanut butter! Omg These are amazing Even my non keto boyfriend loves them!
My Keto Recipes says
They are definitely one of my most favorite fat bombs!
Jennifer says
I LOVE THESE – my go to fat bomb. Where can I calculate macros with your recipe if I use Almond BUtter instead of the natural peanut butter?
Susan says
I used almond extract in the chocolate layer. I always do that when I make anything chocolate like cakes, brownies, puddings and cookies. Try it!
Ellen Anderson says
Mine in freezer can’t wait to see what they taste like. Mine made 8.
Susan says
I love these!!! Simple and so good!!
Julia says
This is my first batch of fat bombs… amazing! I added crumbled bacon on top … because I’m extra like that. 😂 Thanks!
Melissa Smith says
Do these have to be in the freezer? I wanted to send something similar to this to my bf in a care package. I didn’t use chocolate I just made peanut butter fat bombs. It would be traveling from FL go KY. I thought it would work at first but then I saw most recipes said to keep them in the freezer. 😕

Hi there! I didn’t see this question in the feed, but I’m sorry if you already answered it. Is the carbs for the entire recipe the net carbs? Thnx!
Sue G says
These are awesome! Easy to make & taste delicious! Thank you.:)
Filomena Locklin Henderson says
Can’t wait to try it! I have heard some negative comments about coconut oil, is there a substitute for it?
My Keto Recipes says
What kind of negatives is there to coconut oil?
Anonymous says
its 1 carb per bomb
Maggie M says
Can you use monk fruit packets for this?
Karen Thompson says
I’m a little lazy, so I mix it all together in a sauce pan, then pour it into a silicone bread pan to harden. I call it my “Reese Fudge”. Very quick to make and is a great lo-carb dessert!
Allie says
Hi, everyone! So I’m dying to make these and am wondering…refines or unrefined coconut oil?? All the fat bomb recipes I see just say “coconut oil” and I have unrefined…
Crystal Angelica says
Wow!! new to keto, and fat bombs. These are my first and I am beyong impressed! I used swerve “icing sugar” and this recipe made 12 mini cupcake sized bombs. They are delish! There is no bitter aftertaste from the swerve sweetner either 🙂 And I used refined coconut oil as it has no coconut smell or taste! I am just so thankful to be able to satisfy my sweet tooth without the carbs and sugar.
Cella says
Hi. I want to make these. But did you mean 1/4 CUP of confections swerve when you only used a quarter teaspoon liquid stevia?
Wayne Kenendy says
I suggest doubling up the recipe. It allows you to fill a normal sized muffin pan. I also spray the pans before with olive oil…. this is by far one of my biggest saviors in the Keto fight!
Linda Bickerstaff says
Could I use food grade paraffin to stabilize the mixtures so they don’t melt at room temp? Really need them to travel well.

Made a double recipe today. Worked beautifully with silicone miniature cube trays. For sweetener, I used 1/4 cup each of powdered monkfruit and allulose. Fantastic. They are delicious. I may even cut down the sweetener next time as I have been off sugar for a while now, so don’t need it. Thanks for a great recipe.

Nut allergy here- can you substitute soy nut butter? Would it be at the same level? This looks amazing…

I saved a little melted chocolate to top them too, yum yum yum yum! Ah ha ha ha, I stayed away from the bread and deep fried glazed crescent roll because of these! Thank you so much you saved me. I did go over my calorie limit as I ate four! Oops. I’ll have to behave myself tomorrow. Ahhhh chocolate. I’m happy now. ^_^
