DIY Salad in a jar is convenient when you are on the go! It’s a yummy lunch that you can make ahead of time to keep your healthy lifestyle on track!
This is a great idea for a more convenient way to take salad to work! You can make these ahead of time and they’ll last a few days in the fridge. Just make sure you put your dressing in the bottom or in a separate container. Not only are these convenient, but they’re also easy to customize! You can add any ingredients you like and even switch it up each day so it doesn’t get boring. The key to keeping it fresh is to stack your veggies properly so they don’t get mushy.
Remember to use full fat dressing with your salad to get your proper intake of fat. Light or low calorie dressings aren’t really healthy and are laden with chemicals. If you don’t like salad dressing you can add some cheese to get your extra fat intake.
These are also great for yours kids to take in their school lunches if they enjoy salads. Just add their favorite veggies and some ham or chicken. Add some seasoned meat to make the salad more tasty if they don’t like salad dressing.
Since I started my Ketogenic lifestyle I enjoy full fat foods because I know it’s much more healthy to eat good fats in your diet daily. Carbs and sugar are the real culprits that make us gain weight and make us sick. Studies say that sugar increases inflammation in our bodies and can lead to disease.
For the last two years I have followed a Ketogenic diet and lifestyle and it has totally changed my life. Enjoying a Ketogenic diet along with Keto/os gives me so much energy everyday that I feel like super woman! Keto/os is a great way to start your day because it clears away brain fog and gives you amazing mental clarity and energy. Now I know why the Navy Seals use the same Keto technology. Yes, even the Navy Seals use Ketone supplements! If you haven’t tried Keto/os you are missing out, everyone I talk to loves it!

Instructions

- Note: for the seafood salad, mix the mayo, milk, salt, pepper and cheese together before putting in as a layer
- Note: dressing on the bottom, lettuce on the top. If the two are touching the lettuce will turn to slime.
- Put your 'hearty' vegetables (ssuch a carrots sticks, shredded cabbage or peapods) on top of the dressing as they can withstand the acidity better.
- Note: don't pack it in too tight! Use a nice variety of colourful vegetables!
- Make it fun and involve the kids (plastic containers for the kids instead of a glass jar).
